Our GTX model line is a long running model line, meant for the enthusiast who wants great sound for their money.  We have continued to upgrade and update the GTX subs over the years for better performance, all while keeping the pricing down.  The reason for the GTX84 is truly out of demand.  Our customers spoke and we listened.  We knew we had something really good with the GTX model line, so why not develop a smaller size for the space limited installs.  

We carried over all the performance parts from the larger GTX models into the GTX84.  The hefty dual stack motor with customized motor boot, for power and control.  We are using the same, high temperature voice coil for long lasting bass and great sound.  The GTX specific Massive Audio stamped basket was carried over, for strength and cooling.  Poly-cotton spiders for smooth and reliable travel of the cone, as well as quality push terminals were shared to the GTX84, for ease of connection.  Lastly, the trademark red stitched EROM surround and UV-treated non-pressed paper cone for clean and deep notes, were shared with the GTX84.

The Massive Audio GTX84 is a high-performance car audio subwoofer designed to deliver powerful and dynamic bass. With a dual 4-ohm voice coil and a beefy 140 oz. magnet, this subwoofer delivers crisp and accurate low-end frequency response. The GT-series cone and its specially treated surround provide excellent cone movement, even at high SPL levels. • Sealed: 0.5 cubes after displacement (0.04)
• Ported: 1.0  cubes after displacement, @ 38hz, 15 square inches of port area
